Rosebud Hospital is a key part of healthcare on the southern Mornington Peninsula.
It has provided caring support for decades, but is in desperate need of upgrade to meet the demand of our growing region.
Despite a $5 million investment for its redevelopment by the former Coalition Government, the Victorian Labor Government continues to drag their feet on upgrading this much loved and much needed part of our community.
The enormous support following my recent newsletter demonstrates our community’s needs and expectations when it comes to this important upgrade.
I have met with the Minister for Infrastructure, the Hon Catherine King several times in Parliament House about the need to have the hospital upgraded and rebuilt. The State Member for Nepean, Sam Groth MP, has also been ferociously advocating for the State Government to step up and support its construction.
When I met with Minister King in in June, she advised that I write to the Minister for Health and Aged Care, the Hon Mark Butler MP, to seek his support as well. I have included my letter to the Health Minister below for your perusal.
I will continue to work with the Federal and State Government, as well as my state parliament colleagues, Sam Groth, Chris Crewther and Paul Mercurio, to fight for this vital upgrade for our community.
Thank you again for your support.
Please do not hesitate to reach out at any time.
Yours sincerely,
Zoe.
