Sport is a key part of life on the Mornington Peninsula, especially for local youth.
Our local indoor sports, such as basketball, have seen a large increase in participation in recent years, but they are very quickly running out of room to house teams.
In 2022, I was delighted to confirm that a re-elected Coalition Government would provide $5 million to the Mornington District Basketball Association (MDBA) to redevelop the Mornington Secondary College sporting facilities. Unfortunately, the Albanese Government refused to match this commitment.
