In a disgraceful stunt, masked as a infrastructure review, the Albanese Labor Government has cancelled the Jetty Road Overpass and relocated more than 80% of the funding to their own seats.
For decades, the intersection of Jetty Road and the Mornington Peninsula Freeway has been a traffic nightmare for Mornington Peninsula locals and visitors alike.
The former Coalition Government delivered $75 million in budgeted funds to construct an overpass and improve sound abatement around this intersection.
With the funding now cut and the project cancelled residents are rightly furious.
