WINNERS ANNOUNCED FOR 2023 FLINDERS CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION
Constituents of Flinders were asked to submit their best snaps of the Mornington Peninsula for Zoe McKenzie MP’s 2023 Christmas Card Competition.
In addition to photo’s, Ms McKenzie also asked local school students to submit a drawing in the theme of ‘Surfing Santa’.
After a period of voting, Michelle Smith’s photo ‘Safety Beach Sunset’ took first place with 52% of the votes cast.
Michelle’s photo was up against five other competitors with John Renowden’s ‘Mt Martha Beach Summer’ taking second place with 24% of the vote, and Louise Aston’s Sunrise at Merricks with 10% of the vote.
Ms McKenzie congratulated Mrs Smith and all competitors for their incredible photography.

Nicolas from class 3/4 at St Brendan’s Primary School in Somerville took first place with his creative interpretation of surfing Santa. Misha in class 5B at Rye Primary School took second place and Megumi in class PZ at Crib point Primary School was awarded third place.
Michelle and Nicolas’ submissions will feature on the 2023 Flinders Christmas card and a selection of other submissions will decorate the Flinders Electorate Office.
